I'm a little late on this one but it's still worth bringing up...
One of Def Jux's newer signings, Brooklyn's Chin Chin put out their first release on the label this past Tuesday. I just saw the guys perform at South Paw and although one performance is tough to gage a bands style you could definitely hear the hip hop, disco and RnB influences in the songwriting and the jazzy bass...I digress....
I missed their debut but I still have time to make their release party next Tuesday at Union Pool, May 6 w/ special guest Bing Ji Ling. Then they're off on a short tour. More dates will be anounced soon.
