Sometimes you just hear about a band that sparks your interest. This week its Liverpool's The Delta Fiasco. This delightful electronic pop trio reminds me of old school Daft Punk crossed with the indie dance flair of a band like The Faint. Seriously the songs on their myspace are just too catchy not to play over again. I'm looking forward to hearing their first EP Dreameater, out on Smoke & Mirror the 22nd of May. The guys are playing a couple of shows on the west coast including a date at the Fillmore with label mates LadyTron. They also appears to have some dates locked for this fall in Europe. Word on the street is The Delta Fiasco's live shows are chaotic, mesmerizing, beautiful at moments...and even without seeing them I can defintely say that they'll be making it into the hipster dj rotation this summer.
